These slate rippers are for removing individual slate shingles from a field of installed slate. Equally as useful on tile shingles. Our designs have evolved over many years to accomodate the needs of the tradesman. The end result is what we feel are simply the finest slate rippers available on the market today. Often imitated but never duplicated!

Hardened and tempered blade offers maximum flexibility
Form fitting handle with finger grips, prevents hand from slipping off tool during use
Extra large striking surface offered at front end of handle area, square to the handle, reduces risk of glancing blows with hammer.
Finely ground and polished blade end, provides for maximum flexibility yet optimum strength. Overall thinness of blade enables user to more easily get under a broken piece of slate for repair purposes, without damaging nearby pieces of slate.
Polished blade end offers 1/8 inch radius area where nail is hooked on either side to prevent stress fracture of steel.
Fully beveled semi-circle at front end of blade provides for easy location of stubborn nails for removal purposes.
