From the 1895 Stortz Catalog: "These tongs deserve to be known better than what they are. They will do the work of six regular tongs, while the price is only slightly higher than an ordinary one. The adjustment is made by removing pin shown on each side of the Tongs, screwing them into proper hole, corresponding with the size of standing Roof Seam desired." This versatile, adjustable roofing tong enables the sheet metal mechanic to rapidly produce accurate work in short runs and in various profiles.
High quality cast steel tong, securely welded onto carbon steel blades.
Blades are drilled and threaded on either side and fitted with removable pins for adjusting depth of bend to metal.
Tong will bend 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" widths.
Well made throughout, with ideal spacing between handles for firm grip.

- Cast from high quality grey iron.
- Working areas of sides are ground flat.
- One side is lower in height than the other to allow for bending and locking standing seams, the 81-B having heights of 1" & 1 1/4" and the 81-C having heights of 1 1/4" & 1 1/2".
