The SL-1 is a non-penetrating aluminum snow guard designed to fit the majority of snap-lock standing seam metal roof systems. Its wide ½” seam slot accommodates both 1″ and 1 ½” high seams and can also fit over certain single-lock mechanical seams.

The SL-1 does not fit 1″ nail-strip panels. Nail-strip profiles are tapered and will not accept this seam-mounted guard. Verify your standing seam profile before ordering.

This snow guard is held in place by friction, by simply tightening two screws with an Alan wrench. Very easy, no penetration of the metal roof, no leak concerns. I called the telephone number and Nick Jones was able to recommend the appropriate snow guard. We’ve had numerous snows this winter and the guards have stayed firmly in place and kept the snow from sliding off in sheets. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend.
