Copper Slate Hooks provide a simple way to secure replacement slates when the original slate has been removed and conventional re-nailing isn’t practical. The hook is driven into the roof deck, allowing the replacement slate to slide into position and rest securely on the exposed hook.

My roofer said they were nice hooks, but wished the nail portion was a bit longer because he had to go thru ice-water shield. He did not feel the grab into the wood would be strong enough to hold with our northern ice conditions.
