We definitely prefer the “original “ over the ruby . This flux seems to work significantly better and as the directions state apply extra when hot for difficult or dirty joints. The ruby seems to almost pond on the copper where as the original seems to grab better. A word of caution, it is far more aggressive and turns the copper patina quickly so use caution when it’s an architectural item that wants to remain new copper color.
