So far so good for the soldering tip. I have a lot of experience forging and filing and tinning standard soldering coppers and I was seduced by the idea that I wouldn’t need to do that with this item. There were no real instructions on how to care for the tip so I called and got some info from ? (Forgot name. Sorry dude!) I have only used it on bonderized/galvanized material so far and it does get dirty but that is to be expected. I have been swiping it with a stainless steel wire brush like I do with standard coppers and am a little worried that it might be hurting the coating but only time will tell. More better info gets you 5 stars! Les
