- Adept at cutting smaller pieces to be fitted around chimney or valley of roof
- The tough, heat treated blade is removable and can be reordered as can the punch.
- Excellent ”bite” on the toughest slate varieties up to 3/8” thick.
- For greater stability, two pieces of angle iron can be fitted to the bottom section by means of predrilled screw holes, at the option of user. The angle iron is included with purchase.

If your going to ever remove Mechanical Lock panel thats been double seamed, then this is the tool for you. Does exactly what it needs to do. Have to have the right tool for the job.

Simple, rugged and accurate enough to trim an 1/8” off a slate with ease. Made 75 cuts my first day with the 95-A and there is no dust to deal with. Glad to have it in my tool arsenal.

The 95-A Stortz slate cutter is very well built and does an excellent job trimming 1/4” thick slates I recently salvaged from an old cabin. I’m new to slate work but easily on my way to repair damaged slates on the house, barn and other outbuildings around the farm with this fine tool. The chamfered edges it produces are very clean. The hole punch works great also.
